Inclusion Meeting
15/01/20 at DY1 Community Building Stafford Street from 09:30-11:30

We will be hosting a meeting/discussion group at the DY1 Centre, Stafford Street Dudley, exploring how we can improve inclusion not only in health and social care services but to include inclusion for all in the wider community. This will be an open event, so feel free to pop along to add your voice to the discussion. Parent/Carer Forum members will get remunerated for attending this meeting. If you would like to attend can you let us know please, contact Donna Roberts via email, or call 01384 217058

Each year the Director of Public Health is required to write a Public Health Annual Report. The report is a means of informing local people about the health of their community: it recommends actions, and provides information for decision-makers. The focus of the report for 2018/19 is on inclusion – this is based on the belief that all people in society are entitled to the same benefits and resources. However we do know that some children and their families may be excluded due to their personal characteristics. It is therefore important that we work with local people to explore this further, and recommend actions.

The partners involved in Children and Young People’s Alliance Board have therefore identified inclusion as a key priority for children and young people’s health and wellbeing. There is an ambition to engage with parents and carers to identify actions to foster more inclusive communities in Dudley. In light of this, we are keen to engage and consult with parents/carers to explore this further using a community-led approach.
